Bob Arum has included a Cuban against Filipino matchup as an undercard to his Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez IV HBO PPV bout card on Dec. 8, 2012 with the inclusion of Cuban ex - featherweight champ twice and also once an Olympic gold medal awardee Yurirokis Gamboa dealing with Filipino Michael Farenas which will be held also at MGM Grand, Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

This will not be a reasonably competitive bout due to the fact Gamboa's leagues much better than the 28-year-old Feranas. It is more of a fight that Bob Arum has added in to make sure the large quantity of Filipino boxing supporters that will be buying the fight card on Pay-per-view, along with all the Filipino fanatics out there that will be viewing from all over the world.

Including Farenas to the fight card will ensure it is more exciting for a lot of the Filipino fanatics of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. Bob Arum currently has Filipino Mercito Gesta, an undefeated lightweight, against IBF lightweight champ Miguel Vazquez in the pre-main event on the main card. Bob Arum also got Pinoy welterweight Dennis Laurente going through Kenny Abril, and another Pinoy featherweight Dodie Boy Penalosa Jr versus a still to be identified opposition.

Gamboa, #14 WBO, has not battled since Sept. of previous year in a victory over Daniel Ponce De Leon. Gamboa selected to get out of his agreement with Top Rank right after they appointed him to combat with previous WBA World lightweight champ Brandon Rios. Gamboa agreed upon with 50 Cent and has performed zero right until now.

Gamboa need to be able to eliminate Feranas with no issues except if the time off from boxing has worn away his abilities. Gamboa requires to make up for missing time because he skipped at least 4 bouts in the previous year with a sedentary lifestyle and he is in risk of spending his once appealing career.
